A new name, new coalition members, and a resource reset for you and your senior loved one.
As the spokesperson for this excellent networking platform, I was asked to share the reasoning behind changing our name from Senior Living Connectors to Senior Resource Connectors. After more than a year, we learned that our coalition of trusted professionals covers a wide range of services. So much more than just senior living. Our network comprises a wide variety of people and resources that cover all aspects of the aging process Senior Resource Connectors provides education, outreach, and resources primarily directed to the adult children of parents and professional caregivers who are navigating the many challenges associated with aging.
Our coalition comprises trusted, experienced, and vetted businesses that serve these families from various industries- legal guidance, caregiving, care coordination, senior living, real estate, financial advice, insurance, and many other related services. We’ve come together with one point of contact to coordinate outreach efforts for families in need. For free. No cost is involved here.
Anyone who calls receives a personalized experience with our concierge, who guides and offers resources as families need them through our network of companies and services. So many adult children or professional caregivers come to us exhausted, overwhelmed, emotional and frustrated. So, our role is to relieve that stress for them with sensitivity, compassion, and knowledge. We help seniors and caregivers create a game plan – an “Aging Plan” – to support them during this season of their life. And we’re here to support both sides of the “care equation.”
Adult children, especially, are deeply involved in caring for their parents while launching their children. They are indeed part of the much-talked-about “Sandwich Generation.” Their aging loved ones’ needs significantly impact their employment, personal relationships, and finances.
Senior Resource Connectors directly addresses these issues by offering outreach, resources, and education to the families through our digital campaign and community programming. Employers and faith communities have begun engaging with us, too, as they experience these challenges with those they are connecting with today. Employers are experiencing tremendous loss of performance, production, and retention as family
caregivers struggle to navigate all the added responsibilities. They want to offer hope and resources. SRC is one consolidated place that can provide comprehensive support.
That’s why we felt it was important for our name to reflect what we do daily. Senior Resource Connectors is here to provide a network of quality services from trusted partners who have experience working with the aging population. Our SRC network is growing, so we plan to reach the community through public events this next year.
As we all know, the number of seniors living longer is increasing, and so is the pool of people here to take care of them. That’s why we’re here, to offer support when handling the burden and blessings of caregiving.
So, take this time, in the heat of another Arizona summer, to do a resource reset for
your aging loved one, whether for “right now” or sometime in the future. You’ll be glad you did.
